2021 Aug - Blood donation camp

- Date: 12th August 2021

- Venue : Sudharmaramay Viharaya, Battaramulla Sri Lanka.

- Blood donated: 53 units, from approx 60 donour paticipation.

- Recipients: Blood bank, Apeksha Hospital (National Cancer Institute) , Maharagama, Sri Lanka.

- Expenses: LKR 175 370

 

This is our  second blood donation camp. It was a great success.
This project was done during the Covid19 pandemic period, and we are so happy to have 53 units donated during this event, even with social distancing restrictions in place.
All  health precautions were taken during the camp. Our expectation was to donate at least 30 units., but succeeded in donating 53 units in total.
We could make this a success due to dedication of our ground level Ekamuthu.org team. Also, there were a large number of our friends who helped us, even though they could not participate in person to the event;
and it is such a pleasure to see participation of our younger generation: children from various ages, who took part in the activities with their parents.
