•    Total donation value: LKR 75 390, from which 27 840 are material donations.

This is our  first blood donation camp. It was a great success.

When we initially spoke with doctors at blood bank, we were told that even 25 units on a week day is of great value. Therefore, we selected a week day and in our initial planning was to collect between 40 to 50 units.

At the end of the day, we had collected 98 units, while the time was not enough for another substantial group of donours to donate blood.

The experience is quite unlike the donations we did before. In our previous projects the donations were material, and organization and coordination were much simple. This event, though we organized for the first time, we could make it a success due to dedication of our ground level Ekamuthu team. Then there were a large number of our friends who helped us, even though they could not participate in person to the event.

Also it is such a pleasure to see participation of our younger generation: children from various ages, who took part in the activities with their parents.
